Architecture of the Skyline Würzburg

Würzburg silhouette: Where the Main reflects centuries of splendour

The Würzburg skyline brings together the architectural heritage of this Franconian city, where Baroque churches, medieval towers and historic fortifications rise beside the River Main. The composition combines a city panorama from Festung Marienberg, looking east, slightly towards the north, at a bearing of approximately 83°, with another perspective from Alter Kranen on the old town riverbank, looking southwest to include the bridge, hill and fortress. Both views form an artistic interpretation of Würzburg's monumental landscape.

The journey begins with the Alte Mainbrücke and its characteristic statues, followed by the hilltop pilgrimage church Käppele and the imposing Festung Marienberg, the former residence of the prince-bishops. Next come St. Gertraud, the Gothic Marienkapelle and the towers of Stift Haug.

The urban landscape continues with the Grafeneckart, part of the historic Rathaus Würzburg, before reaching the dome of the Neumünster and the towers of the Dom St. Kilian. Towards the right-hand edge come the Neubaukirche, associated with the Alte Universität, and the churches of St. Stephan and St. Peter und Paul.

Instructions

Remove your city skyline from the box.

To ensure secure attachment, apply double-sided adhesive strips to the back of the skyline evenly, using a minimum of three to four attachment points.

Carefully wipe the surface where you wish to attach the skyline with a dry, dust-free cloth to ensure that the surface is free of grease and dirt.

Remove the protection from the back of the adhesive points and gently press the skyline against the desired surface to secure it in place.

Verify that the skyline is securely attached and is level before releasing it. Adjust if necessary.

How can they be attached to the wall?

In the product we include an envelope with padded double-sided adhesives to fix on the wall. They are transparent dots that must be peeled off and placed on the back of the piece distributing them evenly and in the thickest parts of the skyline, then remove the protection on the other side and fix on the wall.

Can it be hung on stippled or plastered walls?

There would be no problem to fix the skylines on a stippled wall as the double-sided adhesive tape we include is padded and very resistant. In addition, the skylines are not too heavy. However, you have to consider the roughness and type of stippling on your wall. We do not recommend it for brick or plastered walls. The ideal is to place it on a smooth wall, because it adheres better.

Is it possible to make this model in custom size or larger?

At the moment it is not possible, as we must take into account the logistical limitations of packages larger than 100 cm.
