Edinburgh Castle Cityscape

Discover Edinburgh from a new perspective with this three-dimensional representation of its landscape. Edinburgh Castle Cityscape reproduces in relief a previously defined selection, dedicated to castle and Castle Rock and designed to contemplate their shapes from a different point of view.

The castle sits on Castle Rock, with the Half Moon Battery, Crown Square and the historic buildings of the fortress. The Lang Stairs, the gardens and the nearby buildings connect the site with the hillside.

The composition allows us to appreciate how the architecture adapts to the rock and takes advantage of its unevenness. From above you can explore the spaces of the castle; From an oblique perspective, the platform and its buildings acquire all their presence on the ground.

The white finish with plaster effect texture and the wooden frame turn the relief into a decorative object that combines architecture, design and memory. A way to keep a special place close and discover its miniature forms.

With a represented area of approximately 345 × 345 m on a relief of 12.55 × 12.55 cm, the piece offers an approximate horizontal scale of 1:2,750. The exterior format with frame is 15 × 15 cm.

A piece for lovers of Edinburgh, the fortresses and landscapes of Scotland, to give as a gift or to incorporate a memory of this place into the decoration.
